Just watched Digital Foundry's PS5 tech review, and they said it was a PS5 Masterclass.
I just preordered it. Friday can't get here quick enough!

If they have good voice acting for the secondary characters and meaningful side quests, they’ll have fixed my only issues with the first game. There wasn’t a single meaningful, engaging side quest in the entirety of HZD. It seems like they were devoted to addressing both with HFW, so I’m hopeful.
The main quest was such a banger that i forgave them for the side content since it was clearly an afterthought and all their real writing resources were 100% devoted to the main story. Not only was it a great plot, but it was a great example of competent narrative execution. They way they delivered and revealed everything to you was just brilliant. Hoping they can maintain that level of quality

Not sure. I did see something pretty goofy. You can get the PS5 version for $69.99 and preload, or you can get the PS4 version for $59.99 and then do a free upgrade to PS5 version. Ridiculous. Only downside is can't preload if you do the latter

I'm waiting til after Elden Ring, I loved HZD but holy shite it was a time sink. I am a FromSoft fan first so I'm gonna play this after, and hopefully they'll have it discounted.

I just restarted HZD last night from scratch. Gonna try to knock it out with skipping a lot of the side quests this time. I did all the side quests last time, but I want to make sure I finish in time for this weekend.

I saw a bunch of reviews that said this as well. Which is worrying. I would much rather a good narrative than more open world stuff. I was hoping games were starting to learn their lesson with this.

Weaker main story. Interesting side stuff to do and pop-in issues on the PS5.
Will be interesting to see how it plays on the PS4.
I'm going to wait on this one until I have a PS5 or it comes out on PC. Both could be a long wait.

Me too. I was gonna play this for a week and then jump over to Elden Ring when it comes out. Now I'm not so sure. I might just play Dying light 2 up till Elden Ring and jump on this when I'm done.

I did see DF mentioned it plays like an open world game for people who don't like open world games. Which is good for me. And is how I would explain the first one as well.

Played for an hour or so last night. Had one massive bug that make me say frick it and go to bed.
I died soon after getting a piece of equipment so when I respawned I still had the equipment but the objective was to craft it… which I couldn’t do because I had it already. So I said frick it and kept on going. Made it about 45 min without dying then fell to my death…. It restarted me back before the crafting again so I had to reload a save from even earlier and redo the whole section.
The game is absolutely gorgeous though.

I also played for about an hour last night, got to the middle part of the ruins. I didn’t run in to any bugs.
I swapped between favor performance and favor resolution, and I’ll probably play on performance.

The visuals are stunning.
