Very close, looking at both companies last released numbers.
3.2 mil for Xbone (not sure is sold through)
6 mil sold through for PS4
No doubt the Japan launch helped Sony but Microsoft is still getting outpaced by them in the US, and to a greater extent in Europe.

this is slightly misleading, in the article itself it says they think the XBONE has sold just under 4mil
on topic: Of course TitanFall 2 will be on ps4.. this generation is going to be worst than last generation as far as "no games are exclusive anymore"
ETA: In fact I wouldn't be surprised if ultimately the ps4 gets "The Titan Fall Collection" .. similar to how the WiiU and ps3 got the Mass Effect Trilogy

Xbox One sold 3 million units by the end of 2013, so according to your source or #'s, Microsoft has only sold 200k XBones in 2 months?
everything I've read M$ is closer to 4 million units than 3. somewhere around 3.8.

And it's hilarious you don't think EA/Respawn will pump out sequels to Titanfall like they do with every franchise. Who's to say they don't release a "Definitive Edition" a year later for PS4? Not saying that's going to happen but I like those chances better than 3 years without a sequel.

EA has already said this will be the case. They are on a 3 year rotation with TitanFall this year battlefield next then whatever Other game EA does the next(can't remember what the game is). Then titanfall 2 which will be.... Drumroll.... 2017.

I think I read a while back that if a ps4 version comes, it will take longer than that because of the contract or something. I don't really remember the details but don't expect it till 2017ish.

Companies say shite all the time, there will be another sequel/"Definitive Edition" to Titanfall on PS4 by Christmas 2016 and that's at the latest.

I actually like the idea of ea rotating franchises so the revenue comes in every year but they don't get stale as fast.
