FPS - transition from PC to Console

I have an XB1, but pretty much stick to my PC for FPS games. I'm not opposed to it, but using a stick instead of a mouse for aiming feels... off.
Anyone else made the transition? If so, I'd appreciate some pointers.
Only shooter I have on XB1 is GTAV, and that barely counts - it has a "lock on" feature.

I tried playing an FPS on my PS3 one time (after 10+ years of playing FPS on PC).
I think I made it 10 minutes before I quit. I haven't tried again since.

I really think it's as simple as just playing until you get used to it. You can check game settings to adjust sensitivity and play around with button layouts but it's going to come down to practice.
Having said that, it's probably never going to feel as good as keyboard and mouse just like playing a fighting game on anything but a decent arcade stick can feel limiting.

Only advice is give yourself time to get used to it. I played competitive cod when cod was good and then switched to CS. Was pretty hard getting used to kb&m and no aim assist.
I still feel much more comfortable with a controller. I hate that you have so many variable with a keyboard and mouse like polling rate, DPI, desk height, mouse pad size, FPS and refresh rate. On console everyone is pretty much even.

I tried for about that long a while back. 25 years playing PC games... I don't think I'll be able to learn to play a FPS with a controller. Most games feel more natural to me on M/KB, as long as analog input isn't a must (i.e., games requiring driving). I'm so crappy with a controller that I'll use it to drive in GTA and then put it down to use M/KB for everything else.

I made the transition from long time console user to solely PC for about 5 years, and now I'm back on console.
It sucks but it just takes some time to get used to it
