My big gripe is with the pks. Wtf it is impossible. I figured the goal would be to get the moving marker in the green and then line up the shot power with the green area. blasting it way wide. then i tried lining up the green and pressing as lightly on the shoot button as possible. I made like one out of 20. It is extremely unforgiving. making pks is nowhere near that hard IRL. I am sure I will get used to everything but there is an even more steep learning curve than the previous version

In the WC version, there is a tutorial that explains the PKs very well and that's how I got used to em, by practicing there.

Basically, you press circle once that meter gets to the middle in teh green, then hold circle for power. I usually hold it to about half or a bit more than half. From there you also aim. The aiming part can really only come with practice, because it depends on how long you hold the analog on where you're aiming. Hold it too long, and you'll miss wide or high.

If you press L2/LT when lined up for a penalty in the arena, you can see where it's going to go.

so far I like the demo. Definitely there's more physicality on defense...seems pretty easy to win the ball off an attacker.

Pro passing is noticeable but not too horribly different. Should help somewhat, but you can still one touch pass all over the place. If the game stays this way at release, it might be the least speed has been utilized ever. You just can't run away from defenders it seems like.

The pitch seems like it's smaller in relation to the players. It can feel kinda cluttered.

One thing I'm loving so far is the AI movement. Players are moving all over the place and changing positions freely which I've wanted for awhile now.

Also, playing against the comp got a lot tougher now that they use skill moves. Anyone who's played against Barca so far, and has defended Messi knows what I'm talking about.

I agree and it is bullshite. For some reason puyol is just as fast CR9 in a dead sprint.

It works well on defense, but a lot of times you have to manually trigger runs even when your teammate is 3 yards ahead of you. I also don't like the runs. they are always pretty much horizontal.

This.

Everyone I know is talking about how ping pong passing is dead, but it can definitely still be done with some success.

I literally have never played the cpu before this demo in any soccer game. It is so badass seeing the computer use these skill moves. I wish it was a bit easier for the user to use them. I memorized a few, and when I try em, they just don't work. But it is certainly possible that I just suck at it, lol.

The AI in this game is definitely improved big time. Finally some creativity. Ronaldo is ridiculous.

I play this game religiously, or the WC game, that is.

After being .500 for a while, i'm getting pretty damn good, probably winning close to 70% or more of my games now(though I've still never won a stupic WC lol).

But what sucks is, I don't know enough about soccer to see all of these differences that you guys are seeing.

I have one of em but not the other. I think I have the one that just shows parts of games and updates.

For example, I watched a short, 1 hour version of that 1st EPL game, the one where Drogba scored 3 goals or something. It was sweet, they basically skipped parts of the game with no action so it was done in no time.

I told myself I'd check out than channel more, then I never did, lol.
