I know everyone who is relevant is playing Uncharted 4 right now, but DOOM releases on Friday. No early review copies has me a bit concerned, but the multiplayer beta was decent (if unremarkable). The Doom franchise has never been about the multiplayer at least in my eyes, so I'm interested to see how the single player campaign turns out. Thinking about picking this up on Friday but not sure which platform.

I'm not buying any game for a while but I would have picked this up. No review copies doesn't concern me anymore. It's becoming more common because reviews are becoming irrelevant.

I don't think reviews are irrelevant. Generally I like to get a general consensus on a game I'm on the fence about. It's why I decided not to buy Starfox Zero.

This game feels like it'll land somewhere between 6/10 to 8/10.

I love reviews top but publishers have learned they don't affect sales much if at all. Things like twitch coverage is more important.

I'm definitely going to buy it but it'll be awhile. I don't spend $65 on any game anymore, the last time I paid full price was Skyrim. With that said, I really can't wait.

I'll get it if the campaign is good. I don't care about the multiplayer. I'll probably pick it up in July.

I'm about to start The Witcher 3 so it'll be awhile before I need a new game. That will be plenty of time for a price drop and reviews to be everywhere. I've liked what I've seen so far so I'm excited to see the full game.

I think I will wait and see what the single player campaign is like for this. I already have Overwatch preordered so I don't know if I need two new games so close together.

I played it for about 20 minutes last night. I haven't encountered any FPS issues thus far. It stays at a near constant 60 on Ultra. I have a 970 but an older Core i5 running at stock speed and a pretty standard 8gb of RAM. It's a decent PC but not a beast by any means.

Can't really form much of an opinion on it as of yet but I like the speed of the game. I'll also say that the nameless space marine may even be a bigger stereotype than Master Chief.

While true, Doom at least has roots far back enough to justify it

Just picked up Doom. Played about 30 minutes of campaign. Very impressed with the game play and soundtrack.

About to give the multiplayer a go. Surprised there's not more hype on the Gaming Board

I am about an hour in, it's very fast paced and it's defiantly a DOOM game. Soundtrack goes back to the original style. I am enjoying it so far.

They hide the secret areas very well and from the campaign you just know when you are in a MP map area.

OK first fricking strike against this game JUMP PUZZLES!!!!!
