in no way does it warrant a full-price purchase. perfect game for rental

The game is good, so rent it and don't support the developers that made it

Somewhat short campaign yes, but don't forget about unlocking and playing through classic maps plus (albeit mediocre) multiplayer and snap map. I'd say it's a pretty strong package.

The game is a lot of fun, non stop action, but in the later levels there is no way I could do it without using GOD mode it's just too insane for my skill level on shooters.

im playing on nightmare and there are some seriously tough sections scattered about. there was an area in Hell where there are 3 summoners and a shitload of Hell Knights and I raged a lot.

the combat shotgun 3-round burst is OP as frick, especially when you get the mastery.

i love samuel hayden. his codex entries are awesome

Not sure how the final product turned out but I liked the mp beta a lot. Everyone has different expectations for MP though.

I don't like how the upgrades are tied to exploration and completing optional objectives.

some of hte challenges are fun (kill a revenant while it's airborne, kill two hell knights with air glory kills) but i dont like the ones where it's "kill 5 possessed with corkscrew glory kills" i dont like when you have to be that specific about targeting lower right leg and shite

It's the most fun I've had with a fps in forever. Level design, music, and gameplay are all quality. I like how the weapon upgrades are implemented, in that you're not permanently tied to them; it allows you to be somewhat methodical during combat.

agreed. once you get the hang of manipulating the weapon wheel and switching mods mid-fight as the situations change, it feels really dynamic and fun. my buddy watched me play and he was like "holy shite, you make it look so fluid." it really makes you feel like a badass once you get used to it.

This is easily one of the best single player campaigns in a long time.

lol AMD

AMD needs to get their drivers fricking fixed. That being said, I was fine with my 380x, but im not exactly trying to push past 60fps either.

I would have to agree, im on the fence about the multiplayer but the single player is one of the purest FPS experiences in a long time.

I bought it. It sounds like hyperbole, but this is the best pure gaming experience I've had in years. GOTY for me so far.

I need to buy this game. My older brother played it when it came out but I never got into it.

This really overstays its welcome towards the end.

Just beat it. Gets pretty tired for the last few missions. Lots of "go destroy these 3 things all over the map" and shite like that just takes me out of it. Good game, had a lot of fun

I'm over halfway through the game and finally lowered the skill down to hurt me plenty. Ultra violence left no room for error and the hell level was taking me forever

I did the same. It was just frustrating at times. Was also running super low on ammo until realizing if I cut something up with the chainsaw, the MFer will explode into ammo.

Currently on stage/level 11.

Edt: FYI Gardoki, I keep my XBONE controller right under my keyboard for the pure platforming areas. So much easier with a controller than KB/M for platforming.
