I typically roll with Nameless Midnight in PvE, but I use Better Devils a lot as well.

I'm quite a bit behind, but I'm finally approaching 265 power level. what is the best way to go up from there? Anyone Xbone players willing to help for nightfall/raid runs this week?

Once you get to 265, the best way to increase your light is to make sure you are doing the weekly milestones to get the powerful gear.

So the way I understand it is to do the weekly milestones for powerful gear, then take a rest because there really isn't any other way to increase power level?

Pretty much, you could grind for Exotics but it really is a waste of time. I would do the milestones on the reset, and then you can raid on the weekend if you get a group together. I've been doing that since release, and I got to 298 last week.

Are you at the end-game lvl (265)? If so, then yeah. The soft cap for blue and legendary weapons/armor is 265. So once you get to 265 you want to cash in those powerful engrams because it will drop at a higher PL than you are.
Once you start to raise that level, blues and purples will start to increase as well, but will drop like 5-6 PL below yours. It's basically a grind to do that until you get to 280 and can buy legendary mods. That's when the real grind starts

If I'm running NF or normal PvE I typically run the Wardcliff in my heavy slot just because it absolutely melts bullet sponge bosses in strikes/Public Events.
In PvP I run a Main Ingredient, the vanguard fusion rifle. It will be a sad day when fusions get nerfed again

I've been running the Blue Shift a lot in PVP. It has an insane blast radius and decent reload.
Switch between MIDA, Midnight, and Origin story in Kinetic and Uriel's Gift, Mannanana AR4, and a submachine gun (highest light level when doing pve stuff sometimes.)
