It comes nowhere close to creating the same world of pure fascination and immersion and that's my number 1 complaint.

There are some that started with 2 and talked about the game in a similar fashion as I did with DS1, and some who had the exact same criticisms of DS1 after Demon's Souls. None of these games ever live up to your expectations when compared to the first one you played, and I don't expect DS3 to be better than 1. I'm not expecting a religious experience, I just want a very good game that I can sink 1000 hours into. I just wish people would let others make up their own minds instead of trying to convince others to not like something they didn't like.

I'm relieved to see he's tougher than he looked in the older footage.

Damn... that final area in the video was interesting.

Not gonna type it out and spoil anything, but I wonder what the implications are if any

Pyromancer - A pyromancer from a remote region who manipulates flame. Also an adept close combat warrior who wields a hand axe. Level 8; Vigor: 11, Attunement: 12, Endurance: 10, Vitality: 8, Strength: 12, Dexterity: 9, Intelligence: 14, Faith: 14, Luck: 7

Cleric - A travelling cleric who collapsed from exhaustion. Channels high faith to cost many and varied miracles. Level 7; Vigor: 10, Attunement: 14, Endurance: 9, Vitality: 7, Strength: 12, Dexterity: 8, Intelligence: 7, Faith: 16, Luck: 13

Deprived - Naked and of unknown origin. Either an unfathomable fool in life, or was stripped of possessions upon burial. Level 1; all stats begin at 10.

Some observations: 4 ring slots, casting speed tied to dex again, pyro scales from faith and int. Firelink is huge, but not crazy about warping to the first area instead of traveling there. "Touch the darkness within me" hehe.

Merc seems like the best selection for pure Dex builds. Less wasted points in faith/luck with still highest starting dex out of any one else.

For a pure caster I might consider the Pyromancer over Sorcerer this time around. Less points wasted in luck, and high enough faith and int to you can use all forms of casting.

Cleric is still ideal for your faith/strength builds.

Thief, assassin, herald, and knight do not appeal to me.

Deprived as too many wasted points in attributes I probably won't use to be considered for any min/max build.

Just my observations. I'm sure I'm wrong about all of them, though.

Areas don't look as connected as previously thought, that's the biggest disappointment.

Does it not look connected like bloodborne? That's the idea I got from the footage I've seen. I haven't seen anything today.

You're teleported to the first two areas, you can't get there by foot. It's a bit jarring.

A handful of sites are saying the four hours they played is all teleporting.

Hopefully it opens up. That was one of my favorite parts of Bloodborne.
