If it's anything like PSN you can't cancel a digital pre-order.

Aldrich, Devourer of Gods = Chosen Undead from 1 or 2 who chose the dark ending?
Posted on 2/29/16 at 5:18 pm to JombieZombie
surely there are more bosses than that

I think there were a couple they couldn't make out. Someone had to zoom in on a picture of the actual soundtrack.

Soul of cinder may refer to the chosen undead too.
It is believed if you defeat a lord of cinder, such as we did in Ds1 vs Gwyn, you become lord of cinder
What could soul of cinder mean

I've played one and two but is there a video out there explaining the connection between the two games and possibly how the third comes into it? I have my theories but I need input

They need to push this back until June so I can play through 2 first.

2 sucks (IMO).

The biggest connection between 1 and 2 is the Abyss, which 3 references with the watchers and there was a reference to Sif in an item description from one of the events in Japan. Aldrich ('devourer of gods,' which the queens also were in 2) also looks like an entity from the Abyss. My guess is that the world has returned to dark, so has the Abyss.

DS2 is not a terrible game, but it is much more a departure from DkS than DkS was from DeS. Seems like they have re-found their way with Bloodbourne though.

Every sequel following a successful game is a cash grab, but Dark 2 isn't cynical or made by people that didn't care about the game or its players. In the end, they made a game that could earn them enough money to keep making the types of games their fans love. You could honestly say the same of Dark Souls, as many of the same concepts and even characters are lifted straight from Demon's Souls.

Haha well shite. Seems like the thread is split. At the end of the day, if it's not really connected much, and doesn't create the same world of pure fascination and immersion DS1 did then I'll probably skip.

He is just trying to rile me up

It comes nowhere close to creating the same world of pure fascination and immersion and that's my number 1 complaint.
Fighting mechanics are decent/good enough
Boss fights are boring and all are won the same way. (The dlc is amazing tho, so others have said)
It all comes down to the director. Ds3 will have the same director as ds1 and BB so it will be epic. He doesn't dissapoint and knows what ds fans want.
Ds2 is a fine game, but it doesn't stack up to ds1. I was fresh off a ds1 initial playthru when Ds2 came out and it just wasn't the same.
