I could never bring myself to buy 2. Something about not being in Lordran hurt my heart. Those of you that have 2, is it worth it or should I just grab 3? How connected are the two stories?

2 is very much worth picking up; the DLC areas alone are worth it - has one of my favorite bosses in the franchise. They're loosely connected in some ways.

I don't think 2's world comes close to Lordran, but 2 was good times. Pick it up for sure.

Also they are connected. Think about all of those trees in dark souls.... It's one big world and they are most definitely connected.

It's nice to see people actually speak positively about 2. Of course it's not DS1 but it's a damn good rpg itself. It would get a lot more hype if there wasn't the original to compare it to. It's just hard to live up to that first run thru Lordran
