i died to him more than any boss on my first playthrough. i tried running sorceror my first go round and got frickin wrecked by him.
once you get the dodges down, he becomes a giant joke. ive probably gone three playthroughs without him touching me at any location. he may have gotten lucky with magic one time, but i rape him every time. just get used to rolling toward him.

Each time you die your max health goes down a percentage, which is the same as being cursed in this game, but it's not like it was in DS1. So yes, if the meter fills and you get cursed, it's essentially the same as dying and your max health drops a bit, to a max of 50%

I agree with him. I think people only going on about the difficulty does a disservice to the games. There's infinitely more to them than that.

It has by far the best bosses and level design. Fume Knight is my favorite Souls boss.

I'm at work, so I'll have to wait until the morning or afternoon. Then I have ball games to go tomorrow, if they're not cancelled. I still plan on doing a playthrough however.

Ok I started Souls in BB so... after reading this thread I realized I've been playing at full hollow level (50% health) and didnt realize that you could use the effigies to become human again. I thought the undead form was how you played the game and that the health bar wasn't full bc of stats
Once I used an effigy, I beat the Pursurer first try without dying
Probably because I literally died 30+ times any time he TOUCHED me once thinking I was at a lower level.
Could end up being good training for me but at the n00bness.
By the time I beat DkS2 and get to 3 I should be pretty good. I want to play through 2 entirely + DLC and beat Uncharted 4 before starting 3, I know it'll end up taking the longest to beat. ALl this really waiting for FFXV and Persona 5 (and maybe No Man's Sky)
