Right, that's why I never got into it. I'm not spending $2.50 for a small chance of getting something that even gets me that money back.

It's amazing Activision hasn't been brought up in a suit yet, with their garbage buying boxes stuff.
Also, the fraud they commit daily, buy selling games and dlc for broken and hacked games that they have abandoned.

those games have been broken on consoles for years. ps3 and xbox 360
lets also add, bo2 being hacked on backwards capability. I see the invisible player hack 1 in every 3 games.

In addition to betting skins and selling them on the steam marketplace for credit, most traders and gamblers trade high value items for keys that are used to open cases. They are the same keys sold by valve for 2.50. The keys they acquire are sold on reddit or other third party sites for 2 dollars in paypal. So the suckers put real cash into keys in hopes of getting a valuable skin. They fail and valve makes a killing. If they get a good skin and trade it for keys in order to effectively cash out, they sell the keys at a reduced rate from what valve charges and valve profits some more. If you don't want to sell keys at a reduced rate and don't mind steam credit, you can sell the skin on the steam marketplace where valve takes another cut of the value of the item. Valve make money hand over fist in this cycle. shite, some kids have stolen thousands from their parents and blew it on case openings and gambling. Its shady on so many counts.
