I'm getting pissed off. Trying to expand my empire. Settled a new city. There are, no shite, 13 missionaries and apostles within a 4 tile radius of the city. All Greek. I can't move my builder to work a tile.

I really hope this new civ isn't racist and finally introduces an australian aborigine civilization

I've been breezing through the civic tree with Gorgo. Just farm culture from encampments. I'll camp out with a hoplite and archer and kill whatever it spawns.

Anyone find a decent tutorial video anywhere? Maybe I'm just used to knowing every little aspect in Civ V, but I don't like being so in the dark right now about all the details in the mechanics.

I watch a lot of Twitch streamers to get ideas, and YouTube user Marbozir is pretty informative. Aside from that, I spend a lot of time every night in the Civilopedia.... which can be fairly vague at times.

I'm not even resisting. These little bastards just won't move and let mile builder leave my city center! That's ok though...I didn't really need this city anyway. I'm about to go balls deep on a culture victory.

I started a few because it's a lazy week at work. These are definitely helping, thanks guys. The amount of strategy in this game considering it's vanilla is nuts.

The Civlopedia is almost useless in some cases. I like watching quills playthroughs though he's probably not as informative as Marbozir

I can't listen to more than 5 minutes of Marb at a time without wanting to stab myself with a rusty fork. Quill is a good balance of entertainment and informative gameplay. FilthyRobot is the best Civ 5 player on youtube/twicth. Dude crushes deity regularly. Once he gets Civ 6 down that will be the go to for info.

I played some before I had to go out of town. One thing I didn't like is you can't seem to automate your workers to auto improve your tiles, and making them only last so many actions is an annoyance not an improvement.

I disagree. The production time to recruit them is small and the improvements are instant. No more having to protect your workers and halting production of a resource because of barbarians or enemy units.

real men dont automate

but seriously, i like the feature. i think there is probably a balance that can be struck between civ 5 workers and civ 6 workers that would be more ideal, but for now its fine.

ALSO for you quill18 fans, hes the guest on this weeks Co-Optional podcast. The VOD has been uploaded to TotalBiscuit's youtube channel.

Scythia is a beast. They seem to have an endless supply of troops every time I play against them, and they are very aggressive with their expansion. Was playing with a large inland sea and the island I was on was me and 6 city states, next thing I know scythia has 2 cities and landed a boat with troops and settlers right next to my capital. Been at war with them for about 20 turns now.

Gilgamesh war carts as well. Far too easy to dominate from the beginning.

I'm getting fricked hard by spies right now. There's only so much I can do with counter intelligence when it seems like every god damned civ is focused on destroying my industry
