Played the beta. Was fun, but not worth $60 in my opinion.
I think they need to make a Mass Effect/Fallout-esque game in first person. The game would sell like hot cakes.

Canceled it on pc. Got the season pass instead on ps4

Jesus christ. I have 24 mbps internet and it took me 10 hours to download TTK download before release and that download was only 18 GB.

I bought this game on the fly today, hadn't bought a ps4 game in forever...played it for 2hours online...I enjoyed it.

Anyone have issues with the game crashing when starting it up? I keep getting this direct x video card errors. I updated to most recent drivers but I can't find anything that's helpful.

I didn't buy the season pass, as I'll likely be done playing it before the last map pack is released, if not sooner. I also just bought the standard edition.

Played it awhile last night. A good variety of game modes. Me and a few friends were on the Heroes vs Villains mode having a blast. I'm impressed so far. Will wait to see the DLC content before I snagged season pass

Yeah people bitching about the game are just bitching to bitch because it's EA and hyped up. Before it even came out there were so many people on this board dead set on hating it.
I had a lot of fun playing online last night. There are plenty of game modes to keep you entertained. Heroes Vs. Villains, Hunt the Hero, and the fighter squadron game modes were pretty bad arse.
I'm not very good at the game yet, but I still had a blast playing it.
Also as far as the early complaints about no campaign are concerned. The single player mode is exactly like the old battlefront games. It's not a true "campaign" style single player, but there are missions you can do and battles against AI. I do think they missed an opportunity for a bad arse story mode campaign in it, but it's still a fun game and it does stay true to how the old battlefronts were.

The one thing I've consistently read is the progression isn't deep enough to keep most players motivated.

I haven't gotten super deep in the game yet...but so far I have to disagree.
I don't care what some reviewers say about it. I thought it was fun.
ETA: I'll also add that I'm not the type to sit there and play video games for several hours straight. I'm more of a 5-10 hours a week kind of gamer...so maybe that's why I don't see myself running into the issue of becoming bored with it?

That's fair and I'd probably have fun with it as well. But when you think about how modern shooters are built in terms of unlocks and character progression, you can understand how a lot of people would consider this game shallow.

I bought it yesterday because I am a moron, but I like the full version significantly more than the limited demo. I do fear for the game's longevity once the shine wears off.

There hasn't been a lot of people trying to hate on this game since day 1. Some of the criticism is just unfair but it does seem to have it's issues.
