It is, and they said so beforehand.
I grinded too much wanting to experience everything before buying then got bummed when I lost it all. Put a ton of time into the beta and had so much shite.
Hard to convince myself to buy it and start over but I'll do it soon enough cause the game is great.

Damn, i'm late on the guest pass too it looks like. Can someone give us a brief run down on black desert? How is the pvp? Is it mostly quest based? Are there dungeons/instances/raids? I know i can google a lot, but y'all seem to give good opinions.

never heard of this game until just now...went to the website and checked out the class videos and now I want to play this game. That valkyrie video was insanely fun to watch.
