Nope, the combo field still persists for the indicated duration... and multiple people can perform finishers in the same combo field.

finishers only have a 10-20% chance to go off

Yes.. I forgot to mention that.

Even then, this could make a difference in fights like the one in AC with 2 bosses. You burn the first one while the other is kited away.

I've also seen a elementalist youtube video where the guy switches magic schools in pvp to create his own fields and finishers.... he was wrecking 2 to 1

I understand the game a lot better after our combo discussion today.

Looking forward to utilizing them in a tough environment.

Looks like I won't be needing to learn too much about it as my only relevant skill is adding fire when I'm using a bow instead of my bigass greatsword.

Ure a warrior?

Yeah, you can't start fields, but you can certainly finish them. Just get inside the fields and mash your whirls and leaps

Also, the polar bear's chill is only for 3 seconds, so it's not all that useful.

I don't know if you have it yet or not, but the Ice Drake has a 5.5 or 6.5 cold based slow just like the polar bear, but obviously not the ability to take a hit like the polar bear, so that may offset the difference in slowed time.

Also- I will be unavailable (more than likely) for Thursday night, it's the only night off the wife has this week.

Someone else can run it tomorrow night, if you guys want. I just won't be on.

Really though, any time 5 people are on and you want to do a dungeon, you don't need anyone's permission. The scheduled events are just to try to provide guaranteed opportunities.

ETA: I haven't charmed an ice drake yet... I should look into that.

I know, I'm just really weird about running dungeons ever since playing wow. I won't do it with a PUG and try not to do it without people who have been before me and can help me learn a new area. Dealing with idiots in other games has ruined my desire to play with PUGs.

Also, we learned that the dungeon instance ends, when the starter of the instance leaves.

Love that fight have done it at least 10 times now. Do you know if their is another one in the Norn 70-80 area. I saw the respawn time being discussed, but didn't know if they were talking about the one at the beach or a separate one in that zone.

ETA: It is a tad too easy though considering most just zerg the boss and ignore the adds and walls...they should ramp up that part some for more fun. The Kol (spelling?) fight takes a little more skill and is tuned perfectly i think.

Where have you been lately? I got back from Columbus on Sunday and haven't seen you on.

Any news on Poncho Villa? He's disappeared.

Had some things to take care of the last couple of days.

Poncho and Steve left the guild.

I won't lead the Thursday AC run unless I have to because someone with more experience can't do it.

I'll be watching videos and reading strategies, though. I'd like to not make myself look too stupid and clueless.

It's it's safe to say these first few runs will be a learning experience for all of us. DON"T STAND IN THE FIRE!!!!

You're going to get AoEd no matter how much you move and stare at the ground for red rings. Those elementalists and rangers can be difficult to dodge, especially in enclosed spaces. Not that you can't mitigate how much damage you take with fancy footwork, but "don't stand in the fire!" is a lot harder here than it is in other games.
