Dons- I never choose to go but if I am with others the grilled stuffed shrimp is my go to
Mikes bar and grill in denham springs- no
Islamodara fish company bass pro- certainly not
Mike Anderson's- can't wait for the one in central to open so I can get a table at Sammy's faster
Coyote blues- yes
Tj Ribs-used to be yes but last time I went they served my brisket sandwich on a ciabatta brick
Carrabbas- never been but the corporation that owns them and Outback provides benefits to their servers and I respect that in a company
Mugshots- never been. heard the burgers are small and not good.

Get it on the sour dough bun. Much better option.

Chimes.

An LSU landmark. Casual, warm atmosphere. One of the best beer selections for any restaurant in BR. Love the food, as simple as it is. Very reasonably priced, so I never hesitate to go there on a whim.

Chimes
Coyote Blues
Bay Leaf
Parrain's
Sushi Yama
Louisiana Lagniappe
Albasha
La Reyna
Mansur's
Sammy's
Bistro Byronz
Almaza

Those are the places I frequented. As far as my "go to" if I go back to BR I usually try to make it to Louisiana Lagniappe, mainly because I used to work there and like to see some familiar faces. Their seafood gumbo is fantastic also. And if they still serve the roasted red pepper and crab bisque or whatever the hell it was that was awesome too.

Liked Beasouleil last year. Have always enjoyed Stroubes, but haven't been since the chef change.

Sammy's when I was there.

Laid back, nothing special/fancy, some serious talent working there, and has that great SELA seafood joint smell and feel.

Sammy's better than Mike Anderson's??

Sammy's in central is hot fricking garbage and has been for a while now. Enjoy your fish cooked in a super microwave like chilis. Their fried seafood is either bland or a salt lick. Only thing worth a shite there is appetizers.

Central can get a thruway and new restaurants yet people still can't shake terrible taste. Central buffet is the worst Chinese food I've had, Johnny's is ok, Sammy's is terrible, and El Caliente is terrible.

Last time I got shrimp poboy from Sammy's it was good.

Last time I went to mike Anderson's someone else ordered a shrimp poboy and it was out of this world good.

Mike Anderson's prices went up, food went down, but lately when I've been it's been great. Sammy's in central is just getting terrible. Haven't been to highland
