Yellowfin Tuna Filets

My brother just gave me about a half dozen fresh filets that were caught today.
Any suggestions/tips for cooking with a cast iron skillet on stove?
And what's everyone's favorite way to prepare it seasoning wise? Any marinade needed?
Have some pepper corns, and almost all the basic seasonings.
Don't cook tuna often, so any advice would be appreciated. I do use my cast iron pretty regularly for steak though, so am familiar with searing and finishing off in the oven (if the techniques are similar).
TIA

Do a search, question is asked and answered on pretty much a weekly basis.

Salt pepper screaming hot cast iron and don't cook it too long
I like a dipping sauce made with ginger ale, honey, soy sauce, garlic and red pepper flakes and a homemade wasabi aioli

Pepper, salt. Sesame seed oil in a smoking hot skillet for very little time.

Press one side into toasted sesame seeds and sear that side down on not too high of a heat otherwise the seeds will burn. Flip over and sear the other side, serving the sesame side up. Serve with lime garnish and ponzu sauce. Do not overcook unless you like cat food.

Correct answer.
Or
Blackening seasoning, lemon pepper, salt, sesame seeds. Rub it down, quick sear in a screaming hot pan, enjoy.

Yes, or tartare, or crudo, or ceviche, or tataki... etc...

Tuna tartar is one of my favorite dishes. Bon temp in lafayette makes a great one. I've never tasted poke.. Guess I need to try it.

It would be better if the chips weren't burnt.

If you like sashimi, dip it in soy sauce and let it melt in your mouth.

You really use sesame seed oil to sear in? It's not overpowering?
I made a nice poke bowl earlier.

I don't think so.

This. My wife Annie loves adding lettuce to hers and making a salad of sorts.

Which recipe do most of y'all use for poke?

No clue. Never made it. I'm just a sucker for poke salad Annie jokes.

But, it can't compare to Oak Grove's Tony Joe White's recipe. Too bad his dad had to work on that chain gang.
