I have been to two of them, #5 and #15. Eleven Madison Park in New York and Steirereck in Vienna Austria. Both were spectacular. The best meal I ever had was at a restaurant that used to be on this list but is no longer - Guy Savoy in Paris. Years ago I ate at a restaurant when it was #1 on this list, but it too has disappeared - Taillevent in Paris.

Been to NYC 20 times....I wanted the ultimate night in my favorite city in the world. It exceeded my expectations. Greatest meal of my life still.

Just got back from Barcelona and San Sebastian in Spain and the food was as good as advertised. I didn't have the funds to splurge at one of the 3 star restaurants like Arzak but we were able to have some spectacular meals.

I was in the process of doing that bc we failed to make reservations and get a password...so they wait listed us. We had drinks next door and my wife said I thought you could talk your way into anywhere? I walked over, got on the phone and asked her to open up and my password was the 100 in my hand...door pops open...magically the 6 of us had the best table in the bar. Little bitch even comped my first drink for my birthday.

I may have been wasted from dinner, but the best martinis of my life (all four of them).
