Cannot recommend a yoder enough. I've got a YS1500 back home. Probably a little much for what you are looking for. a YS640 will do you right.

I have a Green Mountain Jim Bowie model. I got the stainless lid and wifi on mine. This thing is ridiculous, I swear. I've been smoking meat for a long, long time...and the first time I did chicken on this thing, it was the best chicken I'd ever done.

Download the app and control it from the comfort of your couch if you want. Monitor food temps, build profiles in the app....shite...read this. It'll tell you everything you need to know. The one I have goes for about a grand.
