bump. because I finally bought Crystal hot sauce to try, and holy shite is it good. blows Tabasco out of the water.

kinda hard to find around here actually. had been looking for Crystal hot sauce for awhile now because of how many people loved it on here, without any luck finding it. but I finally found a bottle at my local walmart. there were only two bottles left of it and all other hot sauces were well stocked.

anyway, I now see what all the hype was about

Can't find the extra hot here which is too bad. I like Crystal flavor but there is not enough heat.

I think Tabasco is more popular outside of Louisiana where people haven't tried other hot sauces.

My favorites: Crystal and Panola Pepper Sauce

yes. Tobasco in gumbo is about the only time I use it now, and it beats the rest.

It depends on the food for me. I use Tabasco for ketchup and pasta.

Panola has been a favorite of mine recently.

If any of you know where there is chipotle tabasco, I'd appreciate the heads up. I am sure they have it at a lot of AG stores but i haven't looked yet. I haven't been able to find it at Albertson's, Target or Wal-mart.

I think Tabasco is the GOAT hot sauce...

There's a reason Tabasco and Louisiana/Crystal are served at most every table around here..... There the best

Like many posters I think I've tried every hot sauce manufactured. Preferences:

Tobasco: bloody mary, scrambled eggs, cabbage (if I didn't throw a pepper in the pot when boiling)

Louisiana Gold: on gumbo and fried fish

Crystal/Louisiana: etouffes, soups, raw oysters,

Sciarchi: I cover my bahn mi's with this....

Tiger Sauce: Pork, especially Boston Butt even if stuffed with Jalepenos...it's hot, but so good with Pork

Liquid Stoopid is my new favorite. But of the three mentioned here the only real hot sauce is Tabasco. The others have no heat, and must have been invented for tourists.

Agreed.
I was raised to cook with/use both crystal & Tabasco.
Crystal for flavor. I literally buy it by the gallon.
Tabasco for heat.
Lots of gimmicky sauces have come & gone over the last 20 years.
Not these.

I'm a big fan of Zombie Cajun. The Lagniappe is amazing.
