Why is ProBoil so frowned upon here?

I use it sometimes but not exclusively.
I mostly use it when boiling crawfish. It's pretty salty so I don't add any more salt to the water.
I use bags and different liquids when doing shrimp or crabs.
Seems like a lot of people here don't like it or use it.

I used it once and thought it was okay. My wife didnt like it so I never bought it again. My seasoning for a boil is 1 box salt, 1 pack of Chackbay, 1 small bottle of liquid crab boil.

but for real, I use Pro Boil, I've never had any problems with it.

This has been my go to for a few years. It does pretty good.

I use it as well as any of the other dry mixes. They all taste the same to me.

My deal against pro boil is not the flavor - it is the salt. I like to add salt after I cut the heat, which improves the way the crawfish cook and peel. I rarely have to do more than 1 sack at a time, so this method works for me.

I prefer the Zatarains extra spicy over the pro boil

Salt, cayenne, crab boil. I'll never understand why this is difficult to the level that you need it prepackaged.

I prefer the liquid boil for flavor. Proboil is fine though

So you use liquid Crab boil but look down upon those who use prepackaged dry boil

What crab boil do you buy that isn't prepackaged?

I wouldn't boil any crustacean without this shite.

That's prepackaged.

Prepackaged as in packaged before it's poured in the bottle?
It's fish sauce, you want me to cook down fish heads in oil before I boil?
