It's a good question, but I'd guess that rent is high and demand is less than your might think since professional folks tend to be more health conscious. Still, you'd think someone would make an attempt at the market. Maybe Swiss bakery or Rouse's.

There's a relatively new doughnut shop on MLK by Claiborne, but that's not walking distance.

Yeah, all those Tulane Law, bow-tie-wearing, Uptown New Orleans lawyers are super in shape.

Because you would only have about 3 revenue hours a day, 5 times a week. That simply wouldn't be enough to support, rent, insurance, equipment, labor, etc...

The places in the CBD that are just open for breakfast and lunch are pretty ratchet.

People are still using the term "ratchet" in 2016? The more you know....

Pre Katrina, there was a Dunkin Doughnuts at the corner of Common and (St. Charles?). It was pretty ratty, but it did a pretty solid business. There are so few traditional office-hour workers left in the CBD, I doubt an ordinary, non-destination doughnut shop would make it anymore.

Georges in Slidell on Robert road

His $1 a dozen donut holes are great as well.
