Easily breaks top 3 restaurant experiences I've ever had.

I enjoyed it, but not sure I'm ready to say that. I'd still prefer to hit La Boca for a skin-on skirt and some provoleta.

They close down at 3 and then re-open at 4 for dinner service. The staff gets a break and most of them hit the salad bar to eat lunch, but I was still going and they continued to bring me some meat.

They must have good poker faces because you know they hated you for doing this.

I've never had Texas de Brazil in Baton Rouge, so I can't make a comparison.

I did try TdB when it was in New Orleans for a very short time.

Fogo is a prettier and classier atmosphere, and the food is way better.

As far the table comment, make sure you tell the management. It just opened and those are the things you can't be sure of until you have actual customers in house.

My friend is a manager, so I do plan to tell her about it. When she walked up and saw where we had been seated, she offered to move us immediately. But we had just been seated, so we didn't yet realize how much the table sucked.

Maybe, but I wasn't done eating. Going in, I didn't realize they did the hours like that 11-3 for lunch, then closed, then 5-11pm for dinner. I'll try to go there for 1230 instead of 130 next time I'm there for lunch. They really did bring the food slowly at first. It took me asking about 3 times before some lamb chops finally found our table.

Give you credit. First time I tried Fogo I went in guns a blazin and ate so much I ended up in the fetal position in the trunk (SUV) of the ride home

My body is highly acclimated to high amounts of fat, protein, and salt. If I had eaten that plate of mashed potatoes, then I'd have been in the fetal position.

I went Monday for lunch, it was pretty damn good. The beef ribs were excellent.

ETA; They close at 2 for lunch, also looks like they are open at 6:30 for breakfast, I'm not sure what thats all about.
