I usually have a king cake shipped from New Orleans around this time of year, but I noticed Whole Foods has Chantilly King Cakes. Their regular Chantilly cake is GOAT, has anyone tried their king cake before?

It's very good but I would also suggest this:

Pizza Nola

Dont want it unless its made out of a big doughnut, like all true King Kakes.

The chantilly one sucks too. Just buy the damn cake that is amazing.

But it seems that every store is making a chantilly king cake this year.

When stuck in Dallas with no easy way to get king cake from Nola without paying $50, WFM's king cake is decent.

Anyone have recs for king cakes in Houston? Boil House is opening tomorrow and will have king cakes from Gambino's so I am going to try to snag two before it gets crazy. Thanks.

I know you're joking, but I'm definitely picking up a Meche's king cake today.

Honestly Whole Foods. They're a very decent option for being in Houston.
