For some reason, over the last couple years, I’ve grown to not like any dish with crawfish in it, and crawfish boils just don’t excite me.
I don’t know what it is. I know they say your taste buds change every seven years or so.
I don’t know if it’s the taste, texture or what, I just don’t care for it. It kind of grosses me out.
I find it strange. I use to love anything crawfish.

I've never been big on dishes with crawfish in them. I will like the dish itself, but I find I eat around the tails in a lot of them. Like crawfish etouffee has no appeal to me. But I can do like crawfish bread.

I like boiled crawfish, but only fresh/hot from the pot. Once they cool, I don't like them.

Leftover boiled crawfish on its own or in a salad or something is a big no for me.

I like crawfish, but it doesn’t do a whole lot for me.

I wonder how much the love of crawfish is emotional based on a the social aspects of friends and family at a boil?

Middle of crawfish season one of my fav things todo is leave the office, head over to Zuppardos and get their boiled crawfish made by Seither’s and go home and sit out back for lunch.

Has not gotten old, one bit.

I do say hold the potatoes and sausage since you pay by weight.

I’m not saying it has gotten old, it’s that I do not like crawfish now. It kind of grosses me out.
Now, I’m talking about crawfish dishes, not boiled crawfish. I’ll still eat boiled crawfish, but not a ton. I’ll eat a pound or two.

Did not say you said that.

From a dish perspective, crawfish Monica or crawfish étouffée are always going to be on our menu.

I don't care for crawfish in pasta dishes for the most part. Same with shrimp and crab. I love crawfish cardinale in puff pastry or on French bread toasties. I like crawfish cakes and mini crawfish pies. Large crawfish pies are okay. Just depends on who makes them. I like crawfish pies like meat pies in a sauce with no rice. I like fried crawfish tails sometimes. I can't think of a cold crawfish dish or salad that I've had that I liked. I'd eat it, but it's not something I'd choose for the most part. I've had a cold marinated crawfish dip that was pretty good.

I still like it but I think it's because good boils aren't as readily available to me where I stay in Texas as opposed to when I was in Louisiana.

I probably eat it only 4 to 6 times a year so I don't get burnt out in it like I might if I was in Louisiana.

That’s pretty much the exact same for me, and you reminded me I love fried crawfish tails and struggle to find them on just any seafood menu.

Living away from So. Louisiana the past 9 years... the main thing I miss is boiled crawfish.. I can take or leave crawfish tails in other dishes, though I dont mind it.. I just never crave it..

My dad makes a killer crawfish bisque, and that is probably the only way I will eat them.

This so recall having a fried crawfish tail salad somewhere that I enjoyed.

I also can’t believe I forgot to mention crawfish bisque! A good bisque is hard to beat. Also, I like crawfish and corn soup.

Apparently, I like crawfish more ways than I thought!

I love all the classic crawfish dishes but the older I get the more I could totally pass on a crawfish boil (the act of peeling and eating just crawfish with corn/potatoes). Just doesn’t do it for me anymore.

I still love crawfish as long as it’s not over cooked. While I love crawfish in any number of dishes, boiled is my very favorite. Hot. Cold. Any. All. More, please.

The only thing i don't like about crawfish these days is that the older generations aren't around to share them with, I don't have the big house to host boils or big family meals, and they cost a lot more now that more people are into them. That last one goes for crabs and oysters too.

The only reason I don’t eat or “trust” dishes with crawfish is that it may be foreign crawfish. I won’t eat foreign crawfish if I can help it.
