Me and it's not close. She thinks cooking is throwing a recipe she found in a crock pot and leaving it alone for hours without checking it or tasting it. I'm in the kitchen for the entire cooking cycle and I taste as I go. It's amazing how good food tastes when you pay attention to it as it cooks.

There are other things that separate our cooking but the above is numero uno.

Me.....she used to cook when we first met. But id was really basic stuff....spaghetti w/ sauce from a jar. We met in the summer and when fall rolled around I made gumbo one time and she designated me the cook.

I excel at cooking. She excels at baking. Biscuits and cornbread it's a toss up.

She bakes like betty crocker. But she's from Nola and couldn't cook like a Lafayette baw. I taught her how to cook gravies and a gumbo, so she's getting there.

My wife cooks what she cooks very good and very consistent. I cook a lot more stuff than her, so we both think I'm probably the better cook.

I am. It's not that she can't cook, because she can; I enjoy cooking more than she does, so I do it more often. I'm good at taking recipes and tailoring them to my family's liking. I'll also tackle more complicated things because I don't see it as a chore.
Also, there's nothing I like better than working on a meal in the afternoon and having dinner ready for her when she gets home from work.

Mine doesn't really enjoy cooking like I do. And she doesn't have very strong cooking insticts. She can follow a recipe to a T though and has learned to use a knife pretty well helping me chop stuff. I do 90% of the actual cooking. We're both happy about it.

I'm the better cook and it's not even close. It's not her fault. She was raised by terrible cooks who call themselves Italian but never cook Italian food. Her parents only know two seasonings: salt and pepper.

Her dad is worse than her mother. He owns a grill but only knows how to burn the shite out of everything he puts on it and finds a way to bitch at his wife for causing him to frick up every previously edible item that touches the grill.

My wife is a great cook and cooks all the time. We probably are pretty equal in terms of compentnce and both enjoy it . She also loves to do yard work, bushhog, fish, hunt, wash her car, homework, housework.

She's not going anywhere and if she does she better look in the trunk because I'm going with her.

If you tell me she is a 8+ hot and a <6 crazy, I will make it my mission to steal her from you.

Does she have a sister?

i cook 99% of everything we eat. She gets the kids bathed and helps with homework while i prepare and cook. she then helps me clean dishes and kitchen.

its a good system and works well for our lifestyle. plus i like cooking

Me, no question. He can cook, but he has no sense of adventure outside of his basics (meatloaf, red beans and rice, other dried beans, rice dressing, round steak and gravy, spaghetti sauce doctored from a jar). If I buy a roast and he beats me to cooking it, I get kind of pissed off because I like my roast better (don't tell him I said that).

He does a great job on the grill and the boiling pot. Also, pancakes and French toast are his domain. I've never tried to make either of those so that when our son wanted either for breakfast I could say, "Ask your father."

I've never lit a grill, either charcoal or gas. I'm considering an electric smoker, though, because maybe I could do that.

Cool! I know a woman in Georgia that loves to grill and smoke and she does an awesome job with a smoker. In fact she recently bought a LaCaja China roaster.

Me.

Except for when Eggs Benedict are involved. It's my favorite Sunday morning meal but I can't ever do it as good as my better half.

But it's understood that when it comes to grilling and pretty much anything else it's all me.
