Yes that's me.

Guys...Not that I need to justify what I do with the bottles that I get to any of you but I will have you know that I was able to trade the 2 bottles of Cured Oak + $100 for a Pappy 20. I think that most of you would agree that this was a good trade as I am essentially paying $250 for a Pappy 20. I took advantage of the Cured Oak craze before it totally tanks to get something that I really wanted. That is just good business and I don't think it is fair for you to call me out in the manner in which you did. I would appreciate it if those of you that used my real life name would edit your post and delete it.

When you swoop up limited bottles all over town and immediately post them on facebook you're going to get some shite for it. Own it or quit doing it, but i wouldnt expect people to necessarily be happy ..

but yea the name stuff needs to be edited out

I am owning it, hence my previous post. I drink most of what I get. Just because I don't post a picture every time I pour a glass doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the bottles that I get. I'm just too lazy to take a picture, post it to a hosting site, then link the picture in this forum. I may trade things to get bottles that I really want but we all do that whether in person or on FB. There was only 1 bottle that I sold last fall for monetary gain and that was a VWFRR that I sold because I lost my job in November and needed a cash infusion for Christmas. Other than that I am trying to make what I have last until next Fall.

To label me the "resident BR bottle flipper" is unfair and innacurate. I do not have any connections at the distributor and no one tips me off when things are getting released. I was buying Van Winkle off the shelf in BR before many of you had ever heard of Pappy Van Winkle.

I don't expect to make anyone else happy. Everyone here is free to out hustle and out smart me and beat me to these bottles. Then you can do what you want with them and I will be stuck drinking daily sippers like Weller 12, Eagle Rare 10, Blanton's, and EH Taylor Single Barrel which wouldn't be such a bad thing.

no you don't but like gm said own this then, i have no problem with people who educate themselves about current market viability and pounced on the opportunity to make some money or swap for PVW20
but why blast it all over FB?
As a enthusiast, i enjoy a good hunt but i enjoy the pour more and there's alot of great ones out there
flip or bunker make no difference I will not be deprived.

Those were the good ole days CBandit and they weren't that long ago. I'm talking as recent as 2011. I am still kicking myself for leaving bottles behind back then never thinking it would ever get to where we are today.

I do believe that I am owning it No8Easy2. That is why I am here. A lot of folks would have just laid low. What did I blast all over FB?

I dislike everything about the secondary market. It has become a ridiculous joke. At its worst, it is driven by greed and profiteering. I think any activity that takes bottles off of retail shelves and inserts them into that system is contributing to the problem. But that's just my opinion. One bottle or a dozen, trade or sell, it's all the same to me. I wish it would stop.

Maybe so, but stalking stores and then turning around and putting the bottles on facebook is going to get you that label from alot of people.

If you dont care then frick it, but when people see that, they will immediately think "flipper".
