I had a couple of Louisiana boys drop by our tailgate a couple of weeks ago and I offered them some Eagle Rare. They said they would provide the mixer (Pepsi) so I took back the Rare and offered some Very Old Barton. They said it tasted great but they had never heard of it. Do those guys not get out much or is this not available in Louisiana?

I was very impressed with it (although I like all of them already anyways).
I felt the nose on this one is super hot, pure alcohol burn. So much so that I couldn't pick up much else. But the caramel and vanilla on the mouth solved that quickly, tons of caramel. The finish then had some spice (rye, not high proof heat). It was a nice long finish that was clean (no burn). All in all, I think it's a great bottle. The nose being the only weak point for me.
Were you impressed with it as well?

I'm betting that with as backwards as the alcohol laws are over there that it isn't even close.

Dorignacs has 2 four roses private selections right now. OBSV and OBSF. Anyone ever try the OBSF?
