I was thinking about trying a bottle of Rock Hill Farms soon. I know it shares the same mashbill as Elmer T Lee. They just differ in a few ways such as barrel selection and supposedly age. Do you guys feel Rock Hill warrants the price increase over Elmer?

I'd tend to agree with this...

I'm assuming the Jefferson vovsb is a wheater like the other Jeffersons. I tend to prefer high rye bourbons.

Same mashbill as Blanton's too. I think it's a solid bourbon in that price range and packs more of a punch than Blanton's.

Mom brought me a bottle from Ireland. Renews my faith in what I thought was a fairly boring whiskey type. I think you bourbon drinkers would like it. Not that far off from a good bourbon. Sweet fruit flavors, and no smoke.

Toured the Stranahan's distillery in Denver on Monday...

For anyone needing a transition to scotch, this is about as perfect as you can imagine. Starts like a mild highlands scotch, finishes more like a bourbon.

Only problem is I think it might only be available in Colorado.

Jeffersons vovsb is not wheated and does not taste like it has much rye in it.

The price I'm seeing on the Jefferson VOVSB is $50. That sound about right?

As for Irish whisky, I recently had an Irish whisky flight at the Irish house. The best one on the flight was the Tullamore Dew 12 year. So, I'm guessing the regular tullamore dew would be decent to put in a beer.

Tully is pretty good. Before I started drinking scotch that was usually what I drank. Mixed it with ginger.

We are never going to find a bottle. Bought and paid for two bottles. Elijah Craig barrel proof and jps 18 batch 13. Can't wait to see the FedEx guy next week.
