After Boucherie last night, stopped by Cure...2 really good pours:

2013 Four Roses SB barrel proof was excellent, though think I'm slightly partial to the SmB 125...really smoky, enjoyed it

2013 William Larue Weller (was between Stagg and this, but they had 5 more bottles of Stagg and the WLW was almost empty)...was really good, felt like the finish was almost apricot-like, wasn't expecting it

Those of you who got bottles, feel fortunate

Jps 18 is about as close to pappy as your going to get. It is stitzel weller wheated bourbon. Only difference is where its been aged, although that can be a huge difference

Stopped by Red White & Brew in Hammond today and they seem to be carrying more of a selection than the last time I was there.

I came away with these two. Has Black Maple Hill been discussed here?

Owner is one of my best buds. I talk to him all the time about different whiskey's to try to get. Really great craft beer and wine selection. BMH has been talked about with mixed reviews. I personally don't care for it. But others here enjoy it. I did like it better after it had been opened for a few months and had half the bottle gone. Not sure why

Black maple hill is basically juice that is bought from other distilleries. Some are good and some are not.

Question on the aerator thing. How long do I let it sit there?

Whatever everyone is drinking right now, keep drinking it.

As the commercial for shitty bud light says, "its only weird if it doesn't work."

It's ready to go as soon as you run it through the aerator.
