When you drink bourbon neat, is it chilled or room temp?
Personal preference really. For many of the purists, if you're going to try to "taste" a whiskey, it should be room temperature and poured in a tasting glass to get the full aroma, air it out, etc. If you're just sipping a fine whiskey, it's perfectly fine to have it neat at either chilled or room temp. Most of the time, when I'm enjoying
a good glass of whiskey, I'll often pour it over a couple cubes of ice. That allows me to get the initial full flavor with a hint of chill then enjoy the rest of it chilled a little diluted due to the ice melting.
