Started with that tonight. Then lagavulin, highland park 15,and now Glen 14. Warming up to that talisker 18. Still like the lagavulin DE a little more maybe...need to do more research.

They are different...the Lag has more of the refined grass/earth, whereas the Talisker 18 is a refined smoke. Both are just excellent whiskies...obviously, not for everyone though.

I came across a bottle of Charter 101 and picked it up since I've never seen one. I know its NAS, but how does it hold up to OC10? I like OC10, but wish it had a little higher proof.

I have never tried the Charter 101 but Sam's has floor stacks of it. I actually saw 1 bottle of Old Charter 10 on a shelf a while back but it had a $39.99 price tag on it so I left it behind.

Yeah I thought about it but figured why pay $40 for Eagle Rare 10 that didn't make the cut when I can get ER10 for less than $30.
