Where the sandwich line should be drawn

So, this was brought up at least one other time, and the postertariat here had some very strong and controversial opinions on the hot dog. LINK
I recently ran into this question on a survey:
Which of these would you consider a sandwich?
(Check all that apply)
Open-faced sandwich
Quesadilla
Taco
Cheesesteak
Hamburger
Calzone
Sub/Hoagie
After some internal debate, I went with all but the calzone as sandwiches. Obviously, after seeing the question, I was interested in what people here thought of the question. I would think the minimum answer would include two of the above, right? In your opinion, where is the line drawn to differentiate?

The ones in bold I consider to be sandwiches.

I say these are sandwiches. I've never said the sentence "I had a sandwich for lunch" and actually have eaten one of the above not in bold. You have to go with the primary term.

a taco is not a sandwich
It's a taco
It's a taco

It boils down to the fact that I consider a pita a sandwich and a taco is the Mexican version of that.

The line should be drawn in the shape of an arrow, straight to my belly

A sandwich is meat, cheese, other between two pieces of bread
Tortilla is a Flatbread
Quesadilla is a sandwich. Taco is not.

Someone should tell the 2 million results on google for a pita sandwich. THERE ARE NO EASY ANSWERS. Until we solve this sandwich debate, we'll never be able to move on to the real problems that face society.

Egg salad on wheat is not?
I consider egg salad on wheat to be a sandwich, but not an open faced sandwich. If I have to eat it with a fork, it ain't a sandwich, in my book.

Apparently, the food network thinks it is. It is a close call, I'll admit that.

-Open-faced...tends to be a "healthier/no carb" bs sandwich, but I'll allow it.
-Cheesesteak
-Sub/Hoagie

Quesadilla is a sandwich. Taco is not.
Cheese is not necessary for a sandwich. Meat is not necessary for a sandwich. PB&J is a sandwich. Bread is the important part.

OK, well how about John Besh and Alon Shaya? They are actually called "sandwiches" on the Shaya menu. Eventually, we'll get to an authority you respect, I just need to know where the goal posts are going to move to.

I guess pita could be a sandwich.
Is an gyro a sandwich?
Open face stuff you need a fork for? Nope.
