I am talking about a slab of raw fish, not prepared sushi.

If you were close to the Nortshore, I'd share some fresh yellow fin that I'm currently vacuum sealing.

all fresh fish is good to eat raw
very high end and expensive tuna is graded, but you won't find that in a grocery store. Regular old yellowfin is what you want and it's all good as long as it's fresh

salmon is better as sushi if you can find wild caught, farm raised I find to be too fatty and generally flavorless. Other fishes to look for are wahoo, swordfish and escolar

Pass on the salmon, get fresh flounder, snapper or lemon fish for sushi

last i checked, alexander's didn't have sushi grade tuna. I usually get my fish for sushi from fresh market or whole foods.

Yea, fresh as in fresh off the boat earlier that day. The fresh case at a local grocery store will not have this.

"Sushi grade" doesn't exist. It just means flash frozen on the boat to kill parasites.

Don't just buy the "freshest" looking stuff at the gourmet case, you will get sick. Whole foods has specific freezers for shite that is safe to eat raw.
