What vegetable is this?

Some kind of zucchini or squash. And I have no idea, just a guess.

Peel it.
Slice it into medallions.
Egg wash.
Batter in Half and Half equal parts Progresso and White Flour blended together.
Fry in 350 oil until golden brown and crispy (won't take long).
Eat it just like that, or put it with some pasta and sauce. I like it with angel hair and a simple tomato basil sauce, Wife would prefer it with a cream sauce involving shellfish.
The short version of what i just posted is :"treat it like an eggplant."
