Plus fixings as in they were weighed with the crawfish?

Baton Rouge is around $3-4/lb boiled right now

Anything over $4 per pound seems like a rip off to me

Cheaper than that in Houston and Conroe. And it's advertised that the crawfish is from Louisiana.

$2.79 lb at Carmela's Seafood in Harahan, $2.50 if you buy more than 10 lb. Michael's Seafood in Old Jefferson is around the same price. So yeah you're getting ripped off

I would say Bevi in Mid city but they usually aren't cheap either

At a sitdown restaurant, this is probably par for the course.

If you are picking up and eating at home, if you pay anymore than $3/lb right now you are getting fleeced.

You would be wrong for doubting. Charles in Harahan is currently 2.89/lb for boiled with corn and potatoes and it is a sit down restaurant.

Where are you getting them from? I used to go to Stuffed but the one nearest to me just closed. Sometimes I go to Shoal Creek but I find the size, seasoning, and cook time to be too inconsistent. A couple weeks ago I checked out LA1 at St. Roch bar on the east side. They were $8 for 1.5lbs (so just over $5/lb) and by far best I've had this year in terms of size and seasoning. I'll definitely be going back there the next time they have a boil.
