Now you'd rather pay out the arse for NE IPAs to be shipped down, and act like you're to good for Parish.

pay out the arse huh? Don't be so dumb baw, I still drink GITM juicy or not FWIW, but saying it's better than any "West Coast IPA" is just pure stupidity.....

These last few batches of Ghost are still better than any "west coast" IPA. Not even close IMO.

give me a break, the "I live in Louisiana and Parish is the best ever" is really showing in here......

Meh, west coast IPAs are the reason I thought I hated all IPAs. Never had one my hops sensitive palate could stand. I've liked all things Parish.

I would rate it amongst my personal favorite West Coast DIPAs, amongst the ones I've had.

Granted, Double Jack was always a favorite of mine, but haven't been able to get any in Houston in well over a year now, so tough to compare.

I'd say it rates up there with Enjoy By, Pure Hoppiness and Green Flash WCIPA for me. I've never tried Block 15 or any of that Oregon stuff, so don't know how that all stacks up.

And that's the thing. If you're just not a fan of the West Coast, strong danky style, you're probably not going to like Ghost. Nothing wrong with that, and I've said before that Parish should (though not obligated) give its loyal consumers a heads up when the beer changes styles.

Someone like yourself who enjoys the juice IPAs and not so much other styles and buys a case not realizing the sudden change probably feels cheated.

But anyone who craps on it while drinking Duet and GF West Coast is trying too hard.

I was expecting to have to give mine away. What I got was very citrusy. Liked it a lot. Opus as well. Those have far less pine/old lady perfume than say, anything Lagunitas.

Have only had one 4 pack though.

like I said. I like Ghost better than any west coast IPA I've had. Understand that my west coast selection is narrowed down to what I can buy in Louisiana. Some are good and I drink all the time, but better than Ghost?

I will say that Sticky Hands is excellent.

What west coast IPAs would you recommend to change my mind that I can find?

Impossibe! We were told all the juice was missing!

If I remember correctly, one of the bottles I had from this batched seemed like a higher alcohol Two Hearted (not a big fan of that one), but all the rest have been very tasty, in my non-maven opinion.

I looked back at my thread. This was 8/17/16, so I suppose lots could have changed. Not had one in a while. Next time I go to Spirits, I'll get one ontap if available to see.

Really can't believe Great Raft is 4th. Them and parish are easily 1-1a, I think Gnarly has a couple of nice drinking beers but nothing near the quality of Great Raft.

He's just having fun with it. I'm sure he knows all the complaints about the inconsistency. Sounds like he wants to go back to old recipe but who knows?! That's kinda the fun of it

Never had any, but why do craft brewers almost always do this?

That's what I was hoping the hat meant. "Hurry everyone, buy this batch so I can make the next batch great again."

I'm assuming there is bloom and DDH envie left. I've been blown away by those, esp the bloom. I am interested in trying the new ghost given all the upheaval.

Will def try it.

I was pretty disappointed with the peanut butter korova after all the hype it got though, I might just not like peanut butter beers though to be fair.
