I prefer to mash mine and put butter, brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon. Add milk and mash. I make this mostly with Japanese sweet potatoes but it works well with regular sweet potatoes.

While it is still hot, but before you cut into it, put it in a cooler and liberally season with Toney's and let it steam for about 15-20 minutes.

I used to bake sweet potatoes. Before I realized how much better/different they are when you roast them.

We do splenda and cinnamon on our's.

I was wondering if a splash of rum and some toasted pecan and a few chocolate chips would be any good. Never tried that.
