A lot of those places that were named look pretty damned good. If only they weren't in Houston

Roasted oysters, grilled octopus cocktail, I had the fish of the day with a tomatillo caper sauce, my g/f had a bone in short rib. Her's won. I did see a whole grilled lobster that looked awesome at another table.

Its sad how much of a different level those guys are on over there. Countless places to go that shite on anything in the state of Louisiana.

Houston's dining scene has really come along in the past 5 years, now if only people could get over the one horse town/Olive Garden stigma of the suburbs...and not the actual fricking city of Houston.

I have a Cuban friend that swears the Cuban taco and Ropa Vieja taco are just like what his grandmother makes.

Sammy's Wild game grill is pretty kickass too...I don't know if you can consider it fast food, but it has a drive thru.

The first time I took one of my beaner amigos there he looked at me funny and said you just ordered a dirty cloths taco. That shite is so good. I always get the platter with the black beans and plantains. Yes, in the drive thru.
