I think the three you named would've gone over better for the group. Wish I'd thought of them.

Love that platter. I could eat cheese all day long.

I am grilling hamburger patties from Helo grocery. Fixin's include baby spinach and arugula, red onion, cheese.

Crappy weather to be grilling, but oh well.

+1

I've had a very long stretch at work and today was the last of it. Came home to stir fried deer sausage with cabbage, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, celery, and onions. I do 90% of the cooking because I enjoy it more than her. I appreciated the gesture and it was delicious. Now a little bourbon and some Christmas movies.

Her surgery was at Baptist in Madison by Dr. XXXX of Sports Medicine Group. He is younger than my sons (nice guy with great bedside manner) and thought he was doing her thumb when he walked into her room. With her guidance he made the pen mark to the proper finger, initialed it and then 40 minutes later she was through. An hour later we were on our way out and headed toward Starkville with the hand iced down. She was a real trooper and we enjoyed the game as much as any sporting event we have ever attended, since Clinton won.

That is what a 6A State Champion football player and grandson looks like!

The wife has kept her hand iced down and is fine. The swelling is manageable, she can now bend and straighten her finger so I predict her recovery will go fine. With a little luck, she will be painting again in a week or two.

Edited to add - thanks for asking.

Edited again to add - That guy behind the Grandson (#3) is Mr. Football 2016 for Mississippi, Mr. Cam Akers. Some University is going to be very fortunate to get him and we will watch him play on Sundays in about 5 years, assuming he can keep his wheels healthy with the abuse he places on his body ach time he touches the ball. CHS Scored 7 TDs. Cam threw for two of them and ran 5 into the end zone.

I understand Cam is reporting for his next step early in January and will announce his school immediately after the Navy all star game. To make this Tigerdroppings related, He made an official visit to LSU today.

I place the odds of him being a Tiger, very high. I understand he and your new coach are buddies and admire each other very much.

Reverse seared a big fat 2" ribeye to a perfect medium- medium well. FML. Smashed potatoes and salad were good though.
