Better halves B-day. Some how some way I convinced her to celebrate it at the deer camp so me and Jr can hunt in the morning. Got fat Prime beef fillets, Grilled shrimp, asparagus, garlic taters and a bottle of cakebread for her troubles. TGIF

Leftover deer stew and rice with some Sister Shuberts yeast rolls. Think I'm going to freeze the rest of the stew and make a big pot of red beans tomorrow. Going to salt the soak water this time.

Chicken liver salad and a cup of gumbo at Jubans. Couple glasses of wine. Heading to watch that Episcopal-Newman game. It's a nice night finally.

I stuffed Cornish hens with smoked boudin from Ronnies and grated pepper jack. Seasoned and roasted. Glazed with my best friend's homemade pepper jelly. Then roasted some more. Took out when dark brown skin happened. Used the pan juices and a little more pepper jelly to make a gravy.

The greens are kimchi creamed collards.

That looks great, LL! I haven't had a Cornish hen in way too long.
