What's white's BBQ?

I've read that true AL BBQ sauce only has 4 ingredients: mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and lots of pepper. Of course plenty of folks have variations of that, but thats the true recipe.

Can be as thick or thin as you like it, but I like it a little on the thin side. And with apple cider vinegar (opposed to white) with a solid hit of chilli powder.

Great over chicken and pork. Probably not so much on beef (though I've never tried it on beef)

Slap that on the bun?
You don't apply that to meat while it's cooking huh?

Eta: I'm not gonna lie, I read your post in the northern most part of Mississippi twangy accent, as slow as I could. Don't know why.

I'm sorry about your friend, but that made me laugh.

She's a ditzy gal and too easily swayed. She's always changing missions and looking for something on which to focus that's out of the ordinary. She told me she was stuck now because "those people" made her come over and watch a video that ruined her. If you could have heard her explaining it, you'd have laughed more. She went from some sort of chanting to the vegan thing almost overnight. I think she needs to get married and eat meat. No pun intended at all.

I've never had white bbq sauce and I need to look up some recipes because I've wanted to try it. Do you heat that mayo up?

Get your enjoyment out of that little unintended gift, Otis! I was too lazy to try and word it differently for all y'all with your brains where your zipper is located!

Walked over to Star Provisions and bought a baguette, some hot sopressata, finocchiona, and sheep's milk cheese. Having that with some olive tapenade and dijon. Plus beers; maybe wine later.

Also, not on Facebook because I'm not a 16 year old girl nor a spiritless Boomer. Folks should leave the political and religious debates to forums devoid of morons and crazies.

Being the new Alabamian that I am, I've come to appreciate this take on BBQ sauce. Not my #1, but a very strong choice that I won't turn down at all

It definitely has it's place, for me. Vinegar based bbq sauces have grown on me.

No, just marinade and added some typical bbq spices for a dry rub on top.

Give it a shot. It's an Alabamian thing, but I promise it's worth a try.

I got married in bama.
Not averse to bama. Unless, it's football.
