Looking for recommendations in either Gretna, Harvey, or Westwego area for supper. Are any of the few Vietnamese places decent? TIA

Eating in Tan Dinh right now. Spring rolls might be my favorite anywhere. And I have eaten at almost all the metro area Vietnamese restaurants.

These boys are on it. Also, Tavolino at Algiers Point is in my opinion the best pizza in New Orleans. Arancini starter is mandatory. Also, Plume in Algiers for a fresh take on Indian food.

Edit: just realized you requested other parts of wank. My bad.

Tony Mandina’s in Gretna is hit and miss.

Everything above is great except don't even try Tony Mandina's it's terrible. Only thing I would add is Thahn Thahn and huey P's in Old Gretna. They are owned by the same people and are right next to each other.

Other than Tan Dihn's amazing spring rolls (the best I've ever had) and the rice cakes, everything else is either mediocre or disgusting and I've tried almost the whole menu.

You must be going to a different Tan Dinh on the Westbank than I go to.

Better than the ones at Mr Bubbles in my opinion. Cheaper too, but the woman making them is usually slow out there is a line.

I don't have anything to add to this conversation other than the food on the menu at this place sounds really fricking good.
