When Rob opened up shop he started bashing all the other neighborhood restaurants. He made it sound like there wasn't any good place to eat in that part of uptown. Not the best way to make friends. Maybe if he wasn't such a dick and more friendly he would be opening up in that beautiful new tap room.

Yes, Neil is a very likable guy, very personable and friendly and down to earth. I think that helped him get the spot at the tap room.
That is going to be a great place. It mentions in this article that they will have fresh herbs and spices grown in a garden out back.
Seems like the menu will be a little different.

That Rob seems to a loose cannon. Wasn't he posting in a thread a few months back? Or on Facebook? I don't care how good his food might be. I have no desire to pay him money. That's out of character for me, but geez...

Could be a bigger clusterfrick than the Courtyard grand opening.

Is Nola pouring any special beers tonight other than the usual adjunct riffs on the standards?

I really don't understand the pre-madonna attitudes chefs have nowadays. They try to promote themselves as counter culture rockstars. They come off as self absorbed douchebags.

The Sammich thread, but I think it ended up being an imposter. The impression was spot on, though.

Me either. Why anyone would want to adopt the attitude of the music industry before she revolutionized it is beyond me.

Normally, I don't either. I have very very few exceptions.

I also don't think all chefs are arrogant. I think there are some who are, but my experiences have not supported that.

its funny he wants to go toe to toe with the Joint in this mythical cook off he dreamt up in his mongoloid brain, but he gets this complex when McClure's moves closer to him. Yes, he scurred.

Might have taken it down. Basically linked this thread in a tweet to McClure's saying something like "this is what they think of your shitty bbq."

McClures response "yawn"
