Not telling you. Alexandria doesn't grow or get anything new.

Isn't there a Greek place in there as well?

Vietnamese coffee is insane. You have to try that as well. Hopefully they'll sell bubble tea once they get up and running, the tapioca pearls are strangely addicting.

Then just don't add the thai basil.

Guess I'll be getting pho at some point this week.

There was. Little Greek? It got shut down not long after Apollo opened. I guess we cannot support two.

Maybe I've had the wrong ones, but the broth is herbal before I add it. Could be the use of cloves or fennel that many places use, now that I'm Googling.

Meh, I can't see wanting a beer with any of that.

LL they also use star anise which definitely gives an herbal taste to it.

OP after looking at the menu I would go with an A3 and a P13 but I like the tripe and tendon.

That would make sense, as I've never really liked star anise.

Contrary to what you believe, your palate isn't that refined.

I had some spring rolls, summer rolls, grilled chicken rolls, and bahn mi from Pho U at the office today. Rolls were pretty good, but the bahn mi wasn't good. I love Vietnamese food, so hopefully we can keep it around in Alex. I'm not getting my hopes up though

I've worked in a restaurant that made this and it's super easy.

Start with a teaspoon of dried instant coffee (to add to the potency of the ice which will eventually dilute), a teaspoon of sweetened condensed milk, hot coffee halfway up. Give a vigorous stir, then fill with ice. Delish.

I'm talking about the unique press they use, no idea of the grounds...but it's super strong.

There're different prep techniques, but they'll bring a cup of ice that you pour it over once all of the water drips through...I don't stir the condensed milk into it, but some dissolves. The bubble tea style...I'm sure they stir it all up before they blend it.

Minty/herbal taste

I've never had minty pho before. You sure you aren't confusing mint with cilantro?
