there's no way that VS taste better than Spam

I haven't had a fried Spam on white bread sammich in years, but Spam over Vienna sausage any day! I buy both in prep for any hurricane despite my husband saying there's no amount of starvation that will force him to eat them.

One of my college roomies lived on potted meat and Ritz crackers. And cheap wine.

I have been around too many fitters and welders that pack lunch boxes that would make people drool. The rig operators pack the best ones as they can eat all day between lifts.

Same terminology is used by millwrights.

I've never had a Vienna sausage before. Don't think I'm going to try one unless there's some desparate situation occurring.

My family had a can of Spam for at least twenty years in the pantry, no one touched it.

Spam never made it into our house. Neither did Vienna sausage. I'm grateful.

No offense here Gris, but I smell some BS. Either Spam and vienna sausages graced the doors of your childhood abode or you wasn't blood kin to some hog farmers.

Not at my house, Mr Balls. My grandmother had the hogs. She didn't have that stuff either. The workers could have but I never saw it. She usually fed them. No BS.

I think my Mom would have thrown up if she smelled the stuff, honestly. My Dad was a city boy. His Mom cooked full meals for every meal.

I'm uppity because I didn't eat spam or vienna sausage?

Hell, I didn't eat but about 5 things as a child. My palate was very limited. The only vegetable I ate was Leseur green peas with my grandmother's homemade ketchup covering them. The smell of crawfish and mustard greens made me gag. Got better as I entered hog slopping days, though. Now, I'd buy air freshener if it smelled like crawfish and mustards.

Add the scent of roux and we'd have a bonanza.

I moved to the BBQ flavored ones because they weren't packaged in that slimy gelatin goop like the regular flavor sausages.
