Im not sure if I would say "The China Study is bullshite" based on your link. I actually came across it when doing some of my research. If I am not mistaken the article that claims to totally debunk the China Study is written by a blogger with little or no scientific background.

Pierre if you like Chipotle they now offer what they call Sofritas. It is marinated and braised tofu. I had a sofritas burrito for lunch today and it was really good. Also don't be scared off from tofu. I don't eat it often but it is fine every now and then.

Thanks. Day 5 and things are going well. Made a whole grain pasta last night with homemade pasta sauce with fresh basil.

Night before was a black bean burger that was pretty good. Next time I go to the grocery store I'll look for the Sofritas.

I also think most people can agree that most people will be healthier if they eat less meat and more fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet.

Less meat.. not necessarily in agreement. Perhaps, but I overeat a lot more than just meat. More veggies.. always in agreement.

over processed chemical bombs. I'm a piscetarian so I eat seafood. Typical meals are kimchi fried rice with thai chili roasted Brussel Sprouts, Grilled salmon....make enough for salmon tacos a couple nights after, falafeal wraps, Indian vegetable curry, veggie tacos, new mexico stacked veggie enchiladas with red and/or green sauce.

Zappa have you ever tried hemp tofu? I think it is fairly new. I saw some at Whole Foods this week. It comes in regular, Chorizo, chile lime, and chimmichuri. I am going to make some mexican taco lettuce wraps with it tonight. I will let you know how it is.

Zappa I tried the hemp tofu and the flavor was good but the texture was a bit off. Not nearly as firm as a normal tofu. I crumbled it for taco lettuce wraps and it didnt brown very well and stuck to the pan really bad. The texture was soft and mushy. I have read it it best to bake it for 25 minutes rather than pan browning. I have another pack that I will try this way in a few days.

Despite strong urges, I won't critic a meatless diet in here out of respect for the thread.

But I do have a question on legumes:

What do you guys think about the data on the "anti-nutrients" present in legumes (which are often a vegetarian staple).

Basically, it's the concept that phytic acid and lectins, as a defense mechanism for the plant, prevent key nutrients/minerals from being absorbed and actually aggravate the gut.

I know this is a controversial topic, just curious on everyone's thoughts.

Negative i couldn't stay on this diet. Main reason why is I just couldn't change my normal routine.
