Haven’t heard a thing. I’ll wait a couple weeks before going but hopefully it’s good. Is it outside only?

Website story is kind of cheesy, but being there is no bbq in BR I’ll give it a shot. Hopefully it’s different than anything else available.

I have been watching the Reno for a while and it seemed like they had a good buildout going. That website is something, I will give it a shot.

Kind of cheesy? That website is horrendous. Hopefully that gets changed soon. They need some help with that website. Does not make anyone want to go and eat there.

wow that looks great to me.
I don’t understand though why these BBQ places want to stay open all night. It’s self defeating

it’ll be a good sign if they are regularly running out of brisket at least by mid day. You can serve chicken and ribs all night

Phil is a good guy. Not sure how involved he is other than cooking, I know he isn’t the owner, but he cares about food and quality. If it is run like he wants his kitchen will be clean and organized.

I’ve had some of his stuff at a tailgate. Brisket was good, smoked wings weren’t very good. Different days these items were eaten and cooked different places. Brisket was brought from restaurant he worked at before that he cooked. The wings were smoked at a tailgate and I believed they were rushed for time and it wasn’t a paying gig, may have been testing some different methods on a grill he didn’t bring.

Didn’t like the long story on the website it’s silly. Again, Phil is a nice guy who actually cares about food, so hopefully this works out for him.

Bump for more recent info....

Anybody else try them? My kid and I are thinking of going this evening around 5.

I want to just try the pulled pork sandwich, the beans, and Mac and cheese. Any thoughts on these items would be appreciated. Thanks!

The only review on Yelp

quote:

Service was good, but a tad pricey. Mac and cheese was ok, baked beans were a little suspect, sliced brisket was a little over cooked but the ribs were good but small. Lots of flies indoor and outdoors but I think that comes with bbq. Or does it.? Worth a try at least once. ?

Flies are acceptable if they is at least a perception of them being managed. Flies left to run amok are not acceptable.

Not to hijack the thread, but the worst bbq i have ever had was from The Shed in BR ab a month ago. Has anyone been recently, has it improved at all?

No shite, it was the worst bbq i have ever tried. Everything about it was bad. The meat was cold and bland, sides were also cold and bland, bread was stale. There we no napkins or bbq sauce out for the customers. It could have been bc they just opened, but frick i would have stayed closed until i was ready to put out half way decent food, that was at least hot ffs
