Headed down to Universal for a few days to enjoy the rides. Staying at The Loews pacific resort so we can have skip the line access
Any good suggestions?

I might be doing the same thing during the winter, so I'm interested to hear what's available as well.

Last time I was there I ate at the following:

Cowfish - Hybrid burger/sushi place. Good burgers (I'm not a sushi guy).

Vivo - Italian, better than Olive Garden. I'd probably put it on the same level as Carraba's.

Antojito's - standard Mexican food.

Red Oven - Great pizza.

Bread Box - Overpriced sandwiches.

All of the above are located in CityWalk outside the parks. In the parks, I recommend the taco truck in the Simpsons area at the Studios and Confisco Grill at Islands of Adventure.

If you want a good steak (and have money to spend), Hard Rock Hotel has a Palm Restaurant.

We hit the sushi restaurant in the lobby of the Royal Pacific and really enjoyed it on our last trip a few months ago

I second Vivo. Was good food at a reasonable price. The Leaky Cauldron was hit or miss when we went in October.

No Mythos mentions yet, it's worth a shot.

Fire eaters is ok.

Sal's

Confisco as mentioned

Fast food court in Simpsons isn't bad if you want quick

Emerils and Vivo are good calls

The Harry Potter stuff isn't that good to me, but the restaurants are incredibly designed, worth a quick meal just to check the place out. I do love frozen butterbeer though, have to get those if you enjoy cream soda.

Was just going to mention this if confined to Islands of Adventure. It's been consistently one of the best places to eat in the park.

Was there last week. Mythos was quite good. Get the lamb burger. Leaky Cauldren is British pub grub so it sucks. Get the ploughmans lunch for 2 so you can soak in the ambiance without overspending.
